Capitola is a classic beach community with an upscale twist.

Founded in 1869, it is California’s oldest seaside resort town. The Village has a Mediterranean feel with colorful shops, hotels, restaurants and galleries. Numerous events are held at the Esplanade each year, including the Capitola Art & Wine Festival, Begonia Festival, and Capitola Summer Music Series. Residential neighborhoods include the walkable Jewel Box, sought after Depot Hill, and family friendly Cliffwood Heights. New Brighton State Beach offers spectacular views of the Monterey Bay and is an excellent spot to camp, view wildlife, or enjoy the water.
